Services and fees

Preparation fees depend on the complexity of your return. We disclose fees and service details before you agree to any service. If you choose to have preparation fees deducted from your refund through a refund transfer product, the terms of that product are provided to you before you agree to it.

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information and documents you give us. We prepare your return based on that information.

No guarantee of results

We do not guarantee any particular refund amount, filing outcome or refund timing. Refund timing is set by the IRS and your state tax agency.

SMS / text messaging program

Program description. The Gold Standard Tax Group sends service text messages to people who opt in by checking the text-message box on the consultation form on our website. Messages include appointment confirmations and reminders, requests for tax documents, and updates on filing status. We do not send promotional or marketing text messages.

How to opt in. Enter your mobile number on the consultation form and check the unchecked consent box. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service.

Opting out and help. You can cancel the text messaging service at any time by replying STOP to any message. We will send one message confirming you are unsubscribed, and you will receive no further messages unless you sign up again through the form. For help, reply HELP or email [email protected].

Message frequency and rates. Message frequency varies, up to 10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you and by you. Contact your wireless provider with questions about your text or data plan.

Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy. Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Mobile information and text message consent data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Limitation of liability

We are not responsible for penalties or interest that result from incomplete or inaccurate information you provide, or for decisions made by tax agencies or other third parties. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any return is limited to the preparation fees you paid for that return. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
